I've personally come to know of at least 2 cases where women have reported domestic crime to the police only to be told they don't want to 'interfere' in a couple's 'personal affair'. The perpetrators roam freely as the women, left behind with kids, are trying to prove their innocence in court. I'm inspired by Sultana's story, Savvy. Gives me so much hope.
Wow. What a tale. We demand so much from women . Glad she turned it around.
